Things to do

The Grande Plaz is reputed to be the finest in Europe.  At Christmas time there is a wonderful sense of pageant and colour.  In the evenings at 1900 there is a wonderful sight and sound show in the Plaz.

Well worth the visit is the Waterloo battleground, about 45 min normal bus ride south of Brussels.  Another must is the town of Bruge, about 2 or 3 hours by bus or train.  This beautiful village on canals is known as the Venice of Belgium - for good reason.  Well worth the trip.
